Law 639: Corporate Finance
This course provides an introduction to the basic theories of corporate finance and financial economics, with an emphasis on legal applications. Topics include the valuation of securities and projects, portfolio theory, the risk-return tradeoff, the theory of efficient capital markets, corporate capital structure, corporate payout policy, venture capital and the analysis of options and derivative instruments. In addition, the course will use finance theories to explore selected topical issues in corporate law.
Sequence and Prerequisites: Business Associations I (Law 633) is a prerequisite.
Evaluation: Final Administered Exam.
