Law 792: Legal Writing Workshop (Graduate Students)
In this course, LLM students develop the following legal skills: legal analysis, objective legal writing, writing for law exams and email communication, and citing to authority in accordance with The Bluebook. Students complete a number of assignments, including short writing exercises and a closed office memorandum. Students will end the course with a writing sample to use in future application materials. The course meets once a week for 8 weeks (September 10 – October 29).
Prerequisites: Law 500: Legal Writing and Research for LLMs
Evaluation: Written exercises and a final writing project.
