Law 797: Intellectual Property Transactions
Intellectual Property Transactions covers topics that arise when intellectual property (IP) (e.g., trademark, copyright, patent, and trade secret) is involved in a business transaction. The topics that will be studied include licensing, antitrust considerations, organizing and financing of entities based on IP, employment issues, IP assets and termination of a business, IP issues in mergers and acquisitions, and IP due diligence and disclosures in public sales of stock. This course will address issues confronted by a wide range of entities from startups to public companies.

Evaluation: The course will be graded via final paper.
