Dan McLaughlin is a staff attorney with the Federal Defender Program in Chicago, Illinois. He represents individuals in all phases of federal criminal proceedings, including grand jury investigations, before the federal district court, and in appellate proceedings. McLaughlin has extensive experience litigating sentencing issues.

Before joining the Federal Defender Program, McLaughlin was an associate at Jenner & Block, where his practice focused on the defense of individuals and corporations targeted by federal grand jury investigations.

McLaughlin is a magna cum laude graduate of the University of Illinois College of Law, where he was articles editor of the University of Illinois Law Review. His undergraduate degree is from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
