Kurt Leifheit is Vice President, Corporate Counsel for Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, Illinois. In this role, Kurt represents Carle and its affiliates and subsidiaries in a variety of legal, regulatory, and transactional matters. Prior to assuming his current role, Kurt served as Carle’s Associate General Counsel and Corporate Integrity Officer. Kurt began his career in private practice with Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP in Chicago. Kurt received a Bachelor of Science degree from Loyola University Chicago in 2002, a Master of Science degree from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2004, and his Juris Doctor from Loyola University Chicago in 2007.  Kurt is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association, the Illinois State Bar Association, and the Illinois Association of Healthcare Attorneys.  He is the Board President of Mid-Illinois Big Brothers Big Sisters and a Board Member of Delta Dental of Illinois Foundation.
