I would tell prospective students to apply to Illinois Law if they are looking for a law school that feels like family.

I remember hearing the phrase, ‘Be the person you needed when you were younger.’ My friendly personality and openness allow me to live by this saying. I am a first-generation law student, so I did not have any guidance, warnings, or advice going into law school. I would reach out to Student Services with my questions and they were always happy to help. As the semester went on, I met more classmates and upperclassmen and they became the ones I would turn to for advice. The smaller class sizes made it feel like we were one big friend group.
