In the November 2022 elections, John Connor ran for the circuit judge opening in the Twelfth Judicial Circuit, Will County, and won. After leaving the Will County State’s Attorney’s Office as Major Crimes Chief in 2017 for the Illinois House as the 85th District state representative, he was subsequently elected state senator from Illinois’ 43rd senate district and chaired the Criminal Law committee before running for circuit judge. He was sworn in as a circuit judge on December 5th, 2022.
