Michael Wilson has been promoted to Partner in the Chicago office of Locke Lord. Wilson represents private equity funds, startups, banks, insurance companies and other public and private businesses in a variety of transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, debt finance, venture capital, joint ventures and complex corporate restructurings. He has significant private equity experience, including with small business investment companies (SBICs), representing funds and limited partners in portfolio investments, limited partner investments, fund formation and SBIC licensing. Wilson also has substantial experience representing technology companies, ranging from consumer-facing services to business-oriented platforms. He also regularly handles transactions in the energy, health care, food and beverage and insurtech industries.
