About

Professor Ellen Kordik received her bachelor of science in biology from IIT in Chicago, her master of science in microbiology at the University of Illinois, and her JD in 1986 from the College of Law, where she was an articles editor for the University of Illinois Law Review.

In 1986, she joined the law firm of Jenner & Block in Chicago and was a litigation partner there until joining our faculty in 1997. Professor Kordik has previously taught as an adjunct at many of the Chicago-area law schools. She teaches complex litigation, professional responsibility, statutory interpretation (Americans with Disabilities Act), business organizations, and products liability.
