About

Professor Perkins is a graduate of the University of Illinois, where he received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance with Highest Honors in 2001, and was selected as a member of the Bronze Tablet. He received his Juris Doctorate, magna cum laude, from the University of Illinois College of Law in 2004. Professor Perkins began his law career as a law clerk and attorney at Champaign County’s largest single office law firm. He then joined the law firm of Kesler, Nelson, Garman, Brougher, Townsley & Perkins, P.C., where he was a partner before starting the Law Office of Scott E. Perkins.

Professor Perkins has served as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Illinois College of Business since 2008, where he currently teaches courses in Real Estate Transactions and Real Estate Law. In addition to his practice of real estate law and teaching responsibilities, to stay current with developments concerning real estate matters, he holds an Illinois Managing Broker’s Real Estate License, and has maintained a real estate license since 1999. Professor Perkins currently teaches Real Estate Development and Real Estate Finance at the College of Law.
