About
Elizabeth Erickson is a Senior Director in the Discovery Consulting group at Consilio LLC, a global eDiscovery services and legal consulting provider. Based in Chicago, she advises corporate law departments and law firms as they develop their legal strategies and manage their electronic discovery needs. She specializes in end-to-end support across the Electronic Discovery Reference Model, with a specific focus on information governance and cross-border discovery, as well as the implementation of innovative discovery and review solutions for complex litigation and government investigations. Her discovery strategies aim to maximize defensibility, reduce legal spend, and standardize matter handling, while applying a holistic approach that recognizes her clients’ legal departments operate within a broader corporate environment with competing business interests.
Prior to her work as a legal consultant, Ms. Erickson was a litigator in the Chicago office of Winston & Strawn LLP, serving on the leadership committee of the electronic discovery practice group as eDiscovery Counsel. Beyond discovery-related issues, her diverse practice included matters involving breach of contract, antitrust, patent infringement, intellectual property, and other complex commercial matters. She continues to support clients in a variety of industries, including financial services, healthcare, pharmaceutical, telecommunications, and insurance.
Ms. Erickson is a graduate of the University of Chicago Law School and a graduate of Washington University in St. Louis (BSBA, International Business; AB, Italian Language & Literature). She is admitted to practice in Illinois and is a member of The Sedona Conference Working Groups 1 (Electronic Document Retention and Production), 6 (International Electronic Information Management, Discovery, and Disclosure), and 11 (Data Security and Privacy Liability).
