About
Bob Graves is a partner in the Chicago office of Jones Day. He concentrates his practice on banking and corporate finance transactions, with particular emphasis on acquisition finance and the financing aspects of corporate transactions. He served for many years as co-chair of Jones Day’s global Banking & Finance Practice.
In addition to his transactional work, Bob regularly advises clients on a broad spectrum of of financing and financial regulatory issues and Uniform Commercial Code matters. He has written a number of articles and spoken at professional conferences and seminars on commercial finance, enterprise risk management, and banking regulation and compliance.
Bob received his B.A., cum laude, from Illinois Wesleyan University in 1980. He studied at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg in Germany as a Fulbright Scholar from 1980-1981. Bob received his J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Illinois College of Law in 1984, where he served as the Editor-in-Chief of the University of Illinois Law Review and received Rickert Scholarships for Academic Excellence and Excellence in Legal Writing.
