Jensen Troup teaches Legal Writing & Analysis and Introduction to Advocacy at the University of Illinois College of Law. Before joining the faculty, he practiced law in the Chicago office of Jenner & Block LLP, where he advised public and private companies on a wide range of corporate and employment matters. His practice focused on mergers and acquisitions and related corporate counseling, including drafting and negotiating complex transactional agreements. He also counseled employers on compliance with labor and employment laws, developed workplace policies, and conducted internal investigations into employment-related claims and compliance risks.
Jensen received his JD from the University of Virginia School of Law and his BA, summa cum laude, from Wheaton College. He is admitted to practice law in Illinois.
