Johanna Christiansen is an assistant federal public defender and appellate division chief with the Federal Public Defender in Peoria, Illinois, where she supervises attorneys representing indigent federal criminal defendants in all aspects of litigation, focusing on appellate cases. Previously, she was a staff attorney and research and writing specialist with the same office. She clerked for The Honorable Daryl L. Hecht of the Iowa Court of Appeals.
Christiansen is admitted to practice in the State of Illinois, the United Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, the United States District court for the Central District of Illinois, and the United States District Court for the Southern District of Illinois.
