Professor Daly is a Deputy Director with the Office of the State’s Attorneys Appellate Prosecutor in Mt. Vernon, Illinois. He oversees an office of seven attorneys who are responsible for representing the State’s Attorneys located within the 5th District of the Illinois Appellate Court in all criminal appellate matters. Prior to joining the Appellate Prosecutor’s office he was an Assistant State’s Attorney with the Jackson County State’s Attorney’s Office, handling a wide range of misdemeanor and felony cases up to first degree murder. He is also lecturer at Southern Illinois University, where he teaches courses in Criminal Law and Procedure.
