Matt Gold (‘16) joined MoloLamken LLP as Counsel. Matt joins from the U.S. Department of Justice, Antitrust Division, where he most recently served on the Google (ad tech) antitrust trial teams. MoloLamken LLP’s founding partner, Steven Molo (‘82) is a University of Illinois College of Law alumnus.

Ashley Kennedy has joined Edward Jones as senior estate strategist for Edward Jones Generations, providing the firm’s first private client services for high net worth clients.

Marvis Barnes has joined Brookfield Properties, the real estate arm of Brookfield Asset Management, as an Associate General Counsel. Marvis previously practiced at K&L Gates LLP in Chicago, IL.

Charles Yordy was named the 2024 Employee of the Year for the Office of Finance and Operations of the U.S. Department of Education. He was subsequently appointed as the Alternate Designated Agency Ethics Official.

Dominique J. Carroll was selected by the Garden State Bar Association as a recipient of the 2025 Professional Lawyer of the Year Award. Presented by the New Jersey Commission on Professionalism in the Law, the award recognizes attorneys who are respected by colleagues for their character, competence and exemplary professional behavior.

Adam A. Field was promoted to head of the Violent Crimes Unit at the St. Louis Circuit Attorney’s Office, where he oversees prosecutions of homicides, aggravated assaults, and robberies within the City of St. Louis, Missouri.
