William B. Moore ‘66

William “Bill” Moore, 85, passed away on April 12, 2026. Bill first served as a corporate attorney for Trans Union, then a holding company for the Union Tank Car Company. He went on to serve as corporate counsel, senior vice president, secretary, and general counsel with Chicago-based Whitman Corporation (formerly IC Industries) before retiring from Whitman in 1999. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Barbara Matthys Moore, 3 children, and 8 grandchildren.

David Kanter ’84

Dave Kanter (’84) retired after 42 years of practice. Dave primarily represented chemical companies and pharmaceutical manufacturers in product liability and toxic tort cases nationwide. He was a member of ABOTA – the American Board of Trial Advocates. He worked his first 29 years at the Wildman, Harrold firm and then spent 13 years at Swanson, Martin & Bell – both in Chicago.

Louis Nack ’66

Louis A. Nack Jr., class of 1966, passed away on February 19, 2026, in Galena, Illinois, after practicing law in his family firm for 57 years.

Prabha Parameswaran ’93

Prabha Parameswaran was recently honored with the 2026 ALSA Distinguished Alumni Award. She was also included in the 2026 cohort of World Contracting & Commerce Foundation’s Inspiring Women, which recognizes remarkable leaders who are shaping the future of commerce through their leadership, innovation, and commitment to positive change.  

Jon Padish ’14

Jon Padish was named senior manager and lead attorney for Motorola Solutions’ U.S. Federal Government Markets business. Jon was previously a commercial counsel for Motorola Solutions and was a federal government counsel prior to joining Motorola Solutions.

David Kelly ’04

On February 13, the National Basketball Players Association elected David Kelly as its next executive director. His term will begin at the end of July, when he will succeed Andre Iguodala, who described Kelly as “a transformational leader and one of the most respected legal minds in the game” in a statement. Kelly joined the NBPA in February of 2025 as managing director and general counsel after several years with the Golden State Warriors.

Dania Duncan Moreno, LLM ’07

Dania Duncan Moreno has joined Duane Morris LLP as a partner in the firm’s Real Estate Practice Group in its Dallas office. Before joining Duane Morris, Duncan Moreno was a partner at Bell Nunnally & Martin LLP. Duncan Moreno focuses her practice on both domestic and cross-border real estate and corporate transactions. Licensed in Texas and Mexico, she regularly handles hospitality, retail, industrial and residential projects throughout Mexico. In Texas, her practice emphasizes retail and industrial real estate matters.

Lauren Stewart ’19

Lauren Stewart (nee Mioduszewski) has joined Much Shelist, P.C., as a commercial real estate associate. Lauren previously practiced at Sheppard Mullin in Chicago.

Brian Henry ’80

After 200+ civil jury verdicts and with 2 trials left to go in February 2026, Brian Henry will be retiring as a trial attorney after 45 years in courtrooms and after having joined Pretzel & Stouffer in 1980 following graduation from the College of Law.
