Apply for Financial Aid

After completing the College of Law application and before receiving notification of acceptance, students should apply for financial aid:

• Complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid online.
• Applicants to the College of Law need to make certain to list the University’s Title IV school code—001775—on the FAFSA to ensure that we may process your financial aid award information.
• Please complete and submit the form online as soon as possible after January 1.
• The preferential filing deadline to file your FAFSA is March 15.

Timeline

January- February

A FAFSA or Renewal FAFSA may be completed and submitted to the federal processor after January 1. You may also pick up a paper copy at the OSFA.

March

March 15 is the preferential filing date to apply for financial aid at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign for the upcoming academic year.

April – June

Financial aid award letters are emailed to entering first year law students.
First deposits are due in April and second deposits are due in May.

August – September

Aid is disbursed late August or early September.
