Awards
Each year, the College of Law recognizes several of its graduates with special distinctions.
Annual Awards
The Distinguished Alumni Award is given in recognition of the professional achievements and community leadership of its recipients, while the Alumni Loyalty Award recognizes alumni for significant contributions to the College of Law community. And new in 2018, the Alumni Professional Development Award honors an alumnus who has made important contributions to the career development of our students and alumni.
The University of Illinois Alumni Association honors outstanding University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign alumni with the Achievement, Humanitarian, and Distinguished Service awards. Other awards and recognition programs take place throughout the year. Nominate an alumnus for the Achievement, Humanitarian, or Distinguished Service award.
Lifetime Achievement Award
Established in 2013, the Lifetime Achievement Award is awarded periodically to an alumnus or alumna whose career, personal achievements, and contributions to the College of Law and society have distinguished them as pillars of the legal community. The inaugural recipient, Peer Pedersen, ’48, was honored during the 2013 Annual Alumni Luncheon.
