Juan Thomas, Founder and Principal of The Thomas Law Group and Of Counsel at Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. in Chicago has been elected Secretary of the National Conference of Bar Presidents (NCBP), putting him is succession to become President of NCBP in three years. With his election, Mr. Thomas will become the first Past President of the National Bar Association to serve as President of NCBP. The National Conference of Bar Presidents is a national association of lawyers/bar leaders whose mission is to provide high-quality programming and leadership development training for members of the legal community.

Juan Thomas, founder and principal of The Thomas Law Group and Of Counsel at Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. in Chicago, has been elected 3rd Vice President of the Illinois Bar Foundation (IBF), putting him in line to become President of the IBF in three years. With his election, Mr. Thomas will become only the second African American lawyer to serve as President of the IBF, which was founded in 1951 by the Illinois State Bar Association.

He earned a Masters in Secured Information Systems (MSIS) in Cybersecurity from George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia and the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) designation. In May 2020 he will receive his Masters in Technology Management from George Mason University.

Jennifer (Mussman) Clark was elected to the Lake County (IL) Board in the November 2018 elections. Jennifer is an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Economics at Carthage College in Kenosha, WI and ran for office because she believes that we need more economists and teachers in government. Jennifer defeated a 32 year Board veteran and acting Chair of the Lake County Board by 18 votes out of over 13,000 votes cast.

Chicago lawyer Juan Thomas was sworn in August 3, 2017 as president of the National Bar Association, a professional organization for African-American attorneys that historically has fought for civil rights.

Thomas, 46, is a senior attorney in the Chicago office of Quintairos Prieto Wood & Boyer and practices in family law, real estate, employment and estate planning. He previously served as national vice president and secretary of the 60,000-member organization made up of lawyers, judges, educators and law students.
