Stephanie L. Tang was promoted to partner at Kogut & Wilson, L.L.C. Stephanie joined the firm as an associate in 2017, focusing on family law. In addition to being a certified mediator, Stephanie is also a Certified Financial Litigator through the AACFL, uniquely positioning her to handle complex financial issues in divorce cases. This promotion comes one year after Stephanie and Mark Scott (2015) welcomed their first son!

Aleks Ostojic Rushing '15
The St. Louis Business Journal has recognized Husch Blackwell attorney Aleks O. Rushing as a member of the publication’s 2019 30 Under 30 class. The annual award series honors “future leaders of the region and the local business community.” The 30 members of the 2019 class were chosen from nearly 300 nominations. Aleks was the only Illini to be featured in the 30 Under 30 2019 class.
Based in Husch Blackwell’s St. Louis office, Rushing is a member of the firm’s Education group and counsels colleges, universities, and schools on investigations, litigation and compliance matters, including alleged student or employee misconduct involving criminal activity, minors on campus, sex, race, age and national origin discrimination.

Stephanie was recognized for her significant contributions as an outstanding young lawyer, including her achievements in the practice of law, contributions to the ISBA and legal profession, as well as her service to the community.

Corinne Mitchell has joined Clayborne & Wagner LLP in the practice area of Personal Injury Litigation and Animal Law. Prior to joining Clayborne & Wagner, Mitchell spent two years as a law clerk to the Honorable Judge David R. Herndon in the Southern District of Illinois. She began her career as an associate at HeplerBroom LLC.

Chiedza has joined the Washington State Attorney General's Office Recruitment Team. Chiedza was recently named as one of the Office's Attorney Recruitment Coordinators. Chiedza takes on this role on top of her duties as an AAG for the Antitrust Division in Seattle. As Attorney Recruitment Coordinator, Chiedza oversees the Office's Attorney Recruitment Program, Mentoring Program, and Law Clerk Recruitment Program.

On May 3, 2017 An Nguyen received the 2017 Distinguished Service Award for outstanding pro bono service from Chicago Volunteer Legal Services (CVLS), Chicago's first and pre-eminent legal aid organization. He was selected amongst over 2,300 volunteer attorneys from Chicago and the surrounding areas to receive the award and was honored at CVLS' annual "Law and Disorder" event.
